Fox and Grapes Story in English: Once upon a time, there was a hungry fox who wandered through the forest in search of food. As he walked, he saw a vine heavy with ripe, juicy grapes hanging from a tree. The fox really wanted to eat the grapes, but they were too high for him to reach.
He jumped up and down, trying to get to the grapes, but they were just out of reach. The fox became frustrated and started to say that the grapes were probably sour anyway. He tried to convince himself that he didn’t really want the grapes and that they weren’t worth the effort.
And with that, the fox walked away, pretending he didn’t really care about the grapes anymore. But deep down, he was still very hungry and wished he could have tasted the sweet fruit.
Moral of the Story:
The moral of the story is that “It is easy to despise what you cannot have.” The fox couldn’t reach the grapes, so he tried to convince himself that they weren’t worth his effort. But in reality, he just wanted to avoid the frustration of not being able to get what he wanted. This story is often used to teach people not to be discouraged by obstacles, and to never give up on their goals.
