2. Elephant and Rabbit Story in English
Once upon a time, there was an elephant and a rabbit who lived in the same forest. The elephant was very big and strong, but also slow and sluggish. The rabbit, on the other hand, was small and quick, but not very strong.
One day, while they were taking a walk in the forest, they came across a log that had fallen across a stream. The elephant tried to step over the log, but lost its balance and fell into the water. The rabbit tried to help, but it was too small and weak to do anything.
Feeling embarrassed and ashamed, the elephant asked the rabbit how it could ever repay its kindness. The rabbit thought for a moment and said, “I have an idea. I’ll race you to the other side of the forest. If you win, I’ll let you help me out of any trouble I get into in the future. But if I win, you have to promise to help me whenever I need it.”
The elephant agreed to the race, thinking it would be easy to beat the small rabbit. But to its surprise, the rabbit was much quicker and nimbler than it had expected. The rabbit reached the other side of the forest first, and the elephant had to keep its promise to always be there to help the rabbit.
From that day on, the elephant and the rabbit became the best of friends and learned to appreciate each other’s strengths and weaknesses. They realized that no matter how big or small you are, it’s your heart and character that truly count.
Moral of the Story:
Don’t judge a book by its cover. It’s the inner qualities that matter most.
